Predictions
The season is upon us and here are my hastily made predictions. Not sure why but the NBA season has really snuck up on me this year.
NBA Champ: Boston Celtics. The Celtics beat the Spurs, who try to make one last run to glory. The Lakers run is cut short as Bynum and Gasol don't mesh and Kobe starts to pout.
MVP: Tim Duncan. A throwback year for Timmy who helps carry the Spurs while Manu and others deal with injuries.
ROY: Michael Beasley. He puts up more consistent numbers than anyone else.
First Team All Rookie: Beasley, Mayo, Rose, Oden, Mareese Speights
Second Team All Rookie: Westbrook, Gordon, Douglas-Roberts, B. Lopez, Hibbert
Sleeper: Mike Taylor, Batum, C. Lee, M. Chalmers, D. Jordan
All-Bust Squad: D. Gallinari, J. Alexander, A. Ajinca, J. McGee, J.R. Giddens: I think at least five second round picks (not including Bill Walker) will look like better options than Giddens).
Soph Surprises: Al Thornton, Nick Young, Rudy Fernandez, Carl Landry, Mike Conley
Comeback Player of the Year: Luke Ridnour, PG, Milwaukee Bucks
Most Improved: Thad Young
