THR Summer Roundtable
The Hollywood Reporter often does roundtables during the Oscars so it's interesting to see them do it for the red-headed step children of Hollywood - the writers of summer blockbusters. And I have to be honest, I'm not a huge fan of some of these guys but their roundtable is closer to what wannabe screenwriters need to hear than what the Oscar nominees say. While discussing passion projects is great, the fact of the matter is that in Hollywood, ability to work with a director or producer is about as important as ability to write. It's not an awe-inspiring talk but it's a pretty realistic albeit unfocused discussion of the actual life of a working screenwriter.
Also, I forgot to post this roundtable when it came out. It's with the Oscar nominated actresses.
