A couple of days late on the new Tryout (but you should still check out last week's band, Menage a Twang) but here it is. Thanks to the world famous Kenny Herzog for tweeting about this latest group, Brother; a UK band that seems like they might be the next Blur/Oasis type import to make waves in the US.

Although I have to admit, I've always been disappointed that "Sunderland's greatest rock band" The Futureheads never was able to find a following in the US. I saw their show at the Troubadour this past year and they are just as good, if not better live. I wasn't wowed by their last album but the songs were great live. "Meanwhile" might be one of my favorite songs (and is basically how I feel at most LA parties) and "The Beginning of the Twist" was a song that I thought might be their smash hit, but alas it wasn't.
